Within the gates of Tara Glen you tend to have a few basic options to contemplate:

TG is whatever you want it to be – a quiet undisturbed respite, a time for the family to enjoy some quality time together, or simply for the company of old friends.

1. Do absolutely nothing… other than relax and unwind with a good book on the deck while taking in the sun and some pure Wexford air, secure in the knowledge that the children are safe, well supervised and having the time of their lives. The younger children enjoying the entertainment in the Den, busy challenging the crazy golf or playing in the adventure playground. The teens enjoying golf, tennis or soccer. From experience we know that childhood friends made in TG remain friends for life.

2. Get stuck in… simply take out your TG diary and see what’s happening from our extensive calendar of events. Obviously the jewel in our crown is our challenging 9 hole GUI/ILGU affiliated golf course. Interestingly a large number of our members never played golf before coming to TG, however the lure of the green and the constant banter tends to convert even the most ardent golf cynic. We pride ourselves on our social calendar, from a hog roast barbie to ‘fancy dress’ and clubhouse entertainment.

3. Head for the beachslap on the sunscreen, roll up a few towels, pack a tasty picnic, round up the kids and stroll down to the beach for the day – simple as that!
Number 3 tends to be a popular choice with the kids….!
4. Solve the problems of the world well that tends to happen when you’ve invited a few friends around for a ‘barbie’ and conversation has been nicely lubricated by a couple of glasses of wine. Nothing beats the company of good friends as the embers of the BBQ are fading, the warm night breeze is drifting in from the sea and tomorrow seems weeks away.
5. Head for the Clubhousethere is usually something happening in the Clubhouse, golf prizegiving (especially if you’re one of the winners), professional local entertainers and dancing on those ‘special’ nights, table quiz, weekly bridge, sports on the TV, a pint and a ‘sing song’ or maybe just a pint or two!
6. Hit the town… with so many local events, great pubs and restaurants only a short taxi ride away, a great night out is guaranteed for all the family or as a romantic twosome. Soak up the holiday atmosphere and postpone the diet until the kids go back to school.
