Our Clubhouse

The clubhouse has changed over the years from a pre fab in the early days to a fully licensed modern bar today.
Each week in peak season prizegiving takes place in the clubhouse on

  • Saturday evening’s for Men,
  • Wednesday evening’s for Ladies,
  • Monday evening’s for Juniors.

Prizegiving night for juniors has to be seen to be believed and captures the ‘heart of Tara Glen’ . There are few clubs that can accommodate
over 100 golfers between the ages of 10 – 21 every week. This all happens as a result of the trojan work of the junior co-ordinator who works with the ladies committee.

The bar opens weekends when competitions are on from March to October – full time in July and August. The clubhouse has hosted Lady Captain’s nights and Captain’s nights over a number of years.
Through the season it is used for welcome coffee mornings, residents welcome BBQ, Bridge night, Quiz night, junior disco, Tara Glen’s got talent annual competition, Ladybird night – to mention but a few.

The Bunker Bar

Due to COVID restrictions The Bunker bar and wood fired pizza hut were created in 2020. For the 2021 season we have extended the outdoor seating areas and have improved the general look of this newly created area. A separate hut will allow our junior members to have their own outdoor
meeting area.
