Hi All,
Great News. Tara Glen’s revamped website will be relaunched tomorrow Friday. Jai has been lucky enough to secure a work placement with Ruairi Gough who is a Healthcare Marketing Consultant and Digital Payments Entrepreneur. (see links below for his businesses.)
He kindly used Jai’s work placement to upgrade the Tara Glen webpage at no cost to Tara Glen and I am delighted to say that he is keeping Jai on through the summer (part -time Thank God) as he has been impressed by her work ethic, attitude and ability to deliver. The Captains will be inviting Ruairi to the sponsors and advertisers evening where you can meet him. He is based in the Hatch lab, Gorey and I know a number of you have rented space there so please introduce yourself as a ‘Glenner’

I know a number of you will be down this weekend so the fishmonger Jason Barron will be here on Saturday afternoon – you can pre order on 0874135272 or just rock up on Saturday afternoon. I have a ‘fish’ what’s app and I send out a message on that when he arrives on site.
The last of this years new mobiles is coming on site tomorrow morning so apologies in advance to noise and disruption this may cause. In total we have had 8 new mobiles and there is a lot of work and hours put in by Paul Kavanagh and Tony Molloy to ensure that all goes smoothly.
We have a new TG tuck shop beside the crazy golf. The idea is that this will be open for our younger guests in busy times so that the Bunker bar is kept an adult area as much as possible.
A number of you have commented on the large playground state of disrepair. I am afraid lockdown has had an impact on some upgrades intended. We are now working with a company that specialises in this type of work and they have been on site for 2 days making the playground safe for use. There is a new roundabout on order but supply of all this equipment is very slow. I will be presenting an upgrade plan to the Board in September that will spread over a few years hoping to secure funding for replacement of new equipment.
You may be aware that Ballymoney and Courtown have lost their blue flag status this year. The local village committee are meeting with Wexford Co Council to see what needs to happen for the area to get this reinstated. It is likely that this may take a number of years as the water quality has to be excellent over a number of years and this year the rating was ‘good.’ John Hamilton and I have just had a meeting with EPS who service our water supply and Glencove and we have instructed them to take weekly samples through the busy season so that we can see how Glencove is performing having had an upgrade last year.
